A remarkable wallpaper from Bromithia to be added into the \"Highlight\" section. With his unique style of background that mixes well with the character design and adding in subtle textures, you get a wall that uniquely looks classically Japanese (if that can be called classically Japanese).
Hmm... I don't even know what the title means? It was on the original scan, and I decided it would be a nice title. I made this awhile ago, well... 6 weeks and 1 day ago to correct. This was the first time I've done scenic in awhile, and I think I did a good job with it. :)
I love simplicity. Many can inundate any given canvas area with spectacular effects and whatnot, but to get an aesthetically pleasing and balanced design with relatively few visuals takes real skill. I agree with Dias that you managed to capture a 'Japanese' feel to your wall. A good choice when going the scenic route. =^^=
With regard to details, I find this wallpaper to be remarkably consistent. From the yellow and orange color theme, to the almost defoliated tree, even to the leafy design on the girl's kimono, everything speaks of autumn. The Japanese-print texture only adds to it's aura. If I didn't know better ?? and if the girl looked less like an anime character ?? I might have been tempted to mistake it for an actual Japanese artwork. =^^=
Nice texture on your wallpaper :). Combine with the nice yellow scheme it looks like a real paper. Remind me of those old ancient chinese and japanese art books.
Wonderful how you made the image seem like a part of its background through the consistancy of the pattern, but perhaps you should have gotten a diffrent tree for the smaller one?
I like this one because the entire wall looks as though all the shapes were cut out of rice or oragami paper and painted with mottled watercolors...It's a beautifully colored and put together piece.
I love the wallpaper+rice paper effect, great job on the really fitting background as well. did you colour the image yourself? the character looks like she's been penciled in, i love these kinds of images. i wonder what that strange creature she's hugging is, pikachu?
I absolutely love the uniqueness!! it has a very typical "asian" (more specifically, to me [a chinese], an ancient chinese) feel to it!! it reminds me of how watercolors were used back then! the overall colors blend perfectly into each other too!

Hmm, I am going to look stupid if Ugetsu Hakua is a title to a series or artist of some sort? Haha :p

I like the browned tones used in this wall, matches the scan very nicely.
