This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I started making this one quite some time ago but i've been too lazy to post. i really wasn't sure what i wanted the title to be so i did some digging around. i still haven't watched the anime but the text seemed to fit Rin (well, at least i hope it does ;p).
i really have lots of fun making walls with clouds in them. there's at least 6 layers of cloud stock photos. i try to make each one unique from the others. this one has quite a few colors in it, hopefully making the sky look interesting for you guys ;)
i got the scan from daisuki, already extracted for me. thanks kero! i had to do a little cleaning and the lighting didn't quite match what i wanted. i'm sorry i was too lazy to re-cg the purple out of her hair. this is partly why there's so many colors in the sky. as you can probably tell by now, i really love walls that have sunsets/sunrises. well...hope you guys enjoy! :)

The lightning effect is really amazing too, it looks like a real freaky sunset, congrats!!

Lovely idea, great colors and just the right atmosphere. the scan fits perfect. the only thing i don't like is the text..don't hide it, show it! but you did an excellen job on this. the clouds make the wall wild and alive but it's still calm and serene. the hair doesn't fit in the wallpaper..and ..just as advice, try to make the clouds by yourself, it's easy..really..and you will be prouder then ever! lol..but don't forget..it's great! XD *adds as fav*

Love the birds in the background there. Perfect scene for Rin because the anime really targets the magical feeling of her family. Great detail on this wallpaper especially in the background. Rin looks as beautiful as ever xD! Could've fixed the purple on the ends of her hair though >.> But she still looks so pretty ^^ I would the say that the text wouldn't fit Rin as well as it would fit the entire anime as a whole. Hope you get around to watching the anime.

As you said, the text seems to fit Rin quite well.. you did a good job with that. The scan on the other hand doesn't seem to fit the background both in terms of blending and in the fact that she seems out of place in such a setting...

As being expected from one of my favorites wallers in Animepaper. Chibicrystal's work is always awesome. You made the sky looked like no other sky on the world. Really awesome color work, all in the wall is quite awesome.
But, there are two things in this wall that look weird. I know that i might be exaggerating, but i'm receiving training to detect this kind of things, and, since I respect you so much, I have to tell you 'bout it.
First, the foreground (That's Rin scan) and the Background (the buildings) has different shades, even when the light source is the same. In any case, Rin should be dark as the buildings, or, in any case, at least her right side of the body (Rin's left hand); and her left side (Rin's right hand) should have barely details.
I mean, when the source of the light is behind the object, the details disappear.
And, other thing, that I bet that anybody would take it seriously...
Rin's hair and cloth, are waving in the wind from the left side to the right side of the wall, and the first pigeon that's flying near the sun, suggest that wind's blowing from the right side to the left side according to the way that it moves her wings. It's not impossible to happen, since they are at different depht in the wall, but it still look weird to me.
Sorry for being like this, I still like it very much, the expresion on Rin's face maches a lot with the background. Congratz. +fv
Very nice wall. The background looks really nice (I like sunsets/sunrises too ^_^). At first, looking just at the small tab, it looked like the image or Rin stood out a lot, but after viewing the full thing, it actually fits quite nicely with the background. I like how how the feel of the background matches the image (and character) too. Good job
Hey chibicrystal, I really like this! The bg is fantastic!! (it reminds me of London of the Victorian tower of the Houses of Parliament ) The atmosphere is somewhat stunning! The colours, the sky... fav!!
