This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It is a long time since I made a wallpaper. :)

I was bored on a seminar in the university, so I drew something (like always, when I'm bored on a lesson ^^"""). This time I drew a sleepy mermaid :). I didn't know, that I was going to use this pic on a wallpaper. I scanned it, and vectored. I chose a dark bg, and I used some effects and brushes (found on devinatART), and here is the result. I know it is not my best work, there are much more better wallpaper than this, but I like the outcome. It is maybe bright, but I like it that way :D
The title of the wallpaper is big bang. The whole galaxy is born on this wallpaper. (Felesya: I hope you can feel it! :D ) I also have a little bit darker version, if you want it tell me and I will send it to you

Now this is definitely a very, very pretty wallpaper - If you're reading this, download this wallpaper! it looks even more amazing at full size! n_n I really like the whole theme of it, and the colors and how you made the light, the space effect mixed with the sea, the big bang exploding effect, it all just makes for a truly wonderful wallpaper experience (hmm, did I just coin a phrase? ^_^;). Anyway, +fav for sure ^^

The only thing I would improve on is the figure's outline; it doesn't seem "ethereal" enough; an additional glow would make this wall even better for me, but that's just my op

Very nice, Simple I like that. No annoying text is good. Colors are good, not too bright or dark. very relaxing. Overall, Great wall. Simple is the way to go. Hope to see more like this and keep up the good work!
Awesome concept just like felesya's anima (which i ). the big bang xP it looks quite amazing, but like yina said, it's missing a bit of that elusive substance that gives it magic amid its serenity...maybe is the yet undisclosed pressure due to the "explosion" or the bang not being so big? i don't think i make any sense. anyway, the art looks wonderful (though the more diamond-shaped stars aren't as great as the more spindly sparkly ones) and the concept is worth lots of applause.
I really like how you set a glowing effect to the mermaid. and how she's laying on the galaxy of stars. looks heart-breaking. i wish you had a larger resolution than that,so i can see it nicer on the desktop. good job! it caught my eye!
You see the best ideas come when you re completely bored in class =] great work. but i don't get the concept of the big bag begining with a mermaid...like i get of how showed it..(very well done) but why a mermaid. still it's gonna be a fav. thanks for it!
Nice idea. I just think that the lighting was too limited to the center instead of bursting out as it should. Also, yes, you seem to have forgotten to take care of that little something on the left. Otherwise, good wallpaper...

Ooo, I really like the idea and the wall looks really pretty. Maybe a few more sparkles spread out through the edges of the pic. Like stars that have just been blown away by the bang. Great idea for a wall overall!

Really awesome explosion! the result looks a bit like a mermaid if you squint a bit. I like it a lot. This is truly great artwork in all aspects. The watery and spacey effects blend well. ANd the faint sonic boom on the middle of the wall makes it even better. Great wall, no really, GREAT WALL :-)
