As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. I first had this idea for a wallpaper nearly two years ago. I saw this scan of Sasuke in the Naruto artbook, and I thought immediately of RealUltimatePower.net. I immediately got to work in Photoshop and made the wallpaper, but I was never completely happy with it. Recently, I decided to try it over again.

This time around, I completely vectored the scan in Illustrator (which took hours), and embellished the background a bit. I also found a better font and arrangement for the text. Where the first incarnation was grungy, I was going for something clean and simple with this one.

Heh kinda funny actually...If you asked me what instrument Sasuke played I'd guess Guitar and not Bass :3
Guitar is more suitable 4 him (basists tend to not draw attention on stage ^^ )

I like it a lot!
I would be interested in seeing the grunge version as well, just to see how it would fit with the overall feel of the scan (Sasuke just looks grungy in this wall). However, the clean lines and great colourign work well togther.

The best parts of the wallpaper for me are the clean lines, great colours, and the subtle nuances and colour variations in the actual Sasuke scan... all in all, an excellent wallpaper!

OMG! THIS IS UN@£!$% Ohh my god.. it's great.. Just one idea of Uchiha Sasuke playing at guitar makes me go wild.. Woho well..
Now about wallpaper, for my opinion this wallpaper made very good, clean. Only 1 thing.. his leg is a bit strange..
but his clothes are great.. well that's all I think. One more time-Keep it up! xD +fav for idea and skills to make idea be realized :>

As strange as this wall is I think it really well done. Besides the fact that you were able to completely redo the color of the scan, which takes great skill. You also stuck with the great simple type of background, while covering most of the area of the wallpaper you still left space for desktop items. However it just seems a little off to me, the mood of it just doesn't look right to me.

LOL! I love this so much! It looks like an ad for a rock concert. You did a great job recoloring him and making him fit with the background. The blue color fits very well. The text doesn't look out of place to me at all. GREAT job!

Usually I hate Sasuke walls [for the simple reason that I hate Sasuke ^_^~ <3 emoticon

] but this wall makes me realize why so many people are infatuated with him: he's COOL. In the scan you took him from, Sakura looks normal, Naruto looks deranged, and Kakashi... doesn't quite fit the age group. But Sasuke looks like a real rocker, and this wall really brings it out. It's such a retro theme, and the BG's mighty fine [blue = <3 emoticon

]. The text makes sense, and it fits the wall [if you had used a swirly script, that would've ruined the wall]. The clean and simple thing really worked out well ^_^;;

Oh my goodness Sasuke,I never would have imagined that I'll see him in such a posture!I really love this guy altough I am not very far with the series.And well I really find interesting the idea of redoing the colours of the scan.I always asked myself how do you guys succeed that!
Well I don't know but I see this wall as original and simple and maybe these are the two things that count the most at a wall!Great job!
