This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I'm not familiar with Ugetsu Hakua illustration. But, this one caught my eye. I really didn't too much to this wallpaper the illustration was perfect at it is. Just did some outerburn and extended the background and doors. The origininal picture didn't look like that. I pretty much extended it to be a wallpaper. I added a elegant text did a red outer glow to make it glow like a fire. Added a bird brush which I found it to be beautiful to match with the text. To give it a live feeling to the wallpaper. I hope you like these cat twins. I just found it adorable.
One more thing the reason I didn't vector the picture is because the scan was so large when I minimized it look awsome, it was perfect. I didn't wanted to take away the artist expertise (spell check) cause' I found it to be beautiful just like a painting...lol..my vector wouldn't ruin it...XD oh shucks...
Nice job with this one, the extended parts looks fine. hmz...it would be great if you could remove the grainy thing from it...those grains in the scan...always looks bad, if you could remove it, the quality would be much better ^^.
