This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
What? A wall without pretty lights, sparkles, and fancy effects? By me? What's going on here?
Yup. And enjoy it while you can, because this is probably the last wall of this type that I'm going to do for awhile. I made everything in the background from scratch, and making all the books was such a pain >_< This is probably my first wall that features an indoor scene...and I tell ya, making the background wasn't a walk in the park.
Anyways, as you can tell, this is a wall of Haruhi, Yuki, and Mikuru from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. If you don't know what anime that is, you've been living under a rock for the past year and need to go see it as soon as possible. Since there weren't too many nice scenic walls of this trio of characters, I decided to make my own. And here it is.
I pride myself in the detail of my walls, and so I encourage you to full view this wall in all its glory, just like all my other walls. Scan found here. Thanks for the comments ^_^
Who did you make this wallpaper for? the library is getting better and better but I think If someone go there for study it will be dificult. A really nice work!! xDD

Amazing job on the background. The wallpaper came out very well, however I found the the logo in the lower left to seem out of place when the background has such meticulous care and blends so seamlessly. Also noticed that the reflection of Haruhi's foot is cropped out and seems a bit odd in contrast to the chair and Asahina. Still, these are small concerns and you did a remarkable job. Keep up the great work
You got a very nice work there! Both the characters and the BG are well cared and fit each other! Its very well made and well cared! It spreads happiness to everyone who sees it.
I have to get it in my favorites now...
The background is done pretty well; when I first saw this I hadn't seen the original scan yet so I would have thought the entire background was your doing. Unfortunately its a face-on perspective... which makes one think its fake. But thats not your fault... since the original was like that. Cute wall.
The colours are a great match for the foregroung picture. The plainess of your background and the non-descript books make the focus on the 3 girls even more appealing.

Kudos for doing the background from scratch.
