Well, I finally got my AIR trifecta done! For this third wall, I really wanted to go with a peaceful, quiet, and dreamy kind of look; something that looked kind of surreal but not disturbing. I went all out on this one, I started by re-cged the original character image along the bottom (and trying out some new re-cg tricks I was kindly explained and shown to me). The sky and background is built up from a combination of grunge, star, and cloud elements, and the fence is completely made by hand with a few stock images for texture. The 3D part of the fence was actually pretty easy to do once I figured out how I wanted to do it. The grass is a combination of defualt PS brushes and pen-tool created elements. Basically, I wanted to create a wierd point-of-view, like the viewer is looking up slighty through the grass. Overall this wallpaper took longer to figure out than actually make, but I think it turned out great.

Usually when I start a wallpaper I have a pretty firm idea what I want it to look like, but it almost always changes and looks different by the end. This is one of the rare walls that looks the same in my head when I started as when I finished it, and that's a nice feeling to have.

I just want to thank nat for all her help (like reminding me how fading points works, I'd forgot about it since I haven't done it since I was in elementry school) and her opinion/feedback. I also made a widescreen version of this wallpaper, as thank you to my Dark Master Kalico, who secretly blackmailed me into making this wall in the first place (damn Big Red Sale...).
