This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

This is my first wallpaper of 2007
I havent touched PS for months, partly because i had no motivation for a wallpaper of anykind
when i saw this vector of kenshin here at AP it was all i needed.
I always wanted do a kenshin wallpaper because it's me favourite anime of all time (THE OVA"S ROCK)
but i couldent find a pic i liked untill now
anyway about the wallpaper...it was a rushed job really, i did a soft edge lineart to make kenshin look smoother
the vector was too sharp for my taste.
stock manipulation, a lot of smudging and more smudging
oh yeh i also did a dragon on kenshins robe, not too sure if you guys will like it but i like it so there :P
here is a text version with the kenshin logo

So peaceful, before I saw the wood katana... Lol you choose a nice picture for your wallpaper, maybe it should be more integrated on the background, but that doesn't disturb me ;). Anyway it's a good wallpaper and my new favorite :)

the only thing that i didn't like are the strange "blues" outlines in the clouds... seems really strange... but that aside, it's a great wall, really good! =)

It looks so different when I opened the actual size, it's such a peaceful and charming sence!I prefer the text version more cause it's not so blank and the effect looks cool. I guess you may not want his hair get cut off.

but you could in future dra the nice photo you have used in this wallpaper and add some new things in the sky.. that will make the wallpaper EXTRA great, i'm sure i'll be a fav. of many ^^

This wallpaper is nice, I don't know what, but the sky makes the wallpaper very peaceful even though he has a katana there. I think the textless version is better ^^. Good work!

I like it, and it definately caught my eye. Those that look for these kinds of things might mention to you that the light source for the clouds doesn't match the shadows on him, unless there's a mirror off screen that we don't see. Just something to think about, but again, I definately do like it.
It's been a while since I've seen a good RK wallpaper. I love the vector and the effect on the clouds. The part near Kenshin is a bit more cartoony and then it gets more and more realistic.
