This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This is a wall that i made about a week ago. Np, i didn't use the scan as the bg, i use a photo stock. It took me one day and night to make the photo stock didn't seem too realistic via blur tool and filters. And the scan, the edges are bit rough so i smoothen it a bit, and clean the scan as well. As the sun, i use a lens flare at 90% brightness, and a brush for the light and birds.
I found the scan here at the gallery, but at first it was too rough, so thanks to luciferheart for the suggestions and tips to make it 'smooth'.
As for the sky, it was too pale at first and too bright, so i set the saturation, brightness and contrast MANY times before i get the perfect one.

The background is beautiful, the sky, the colors are very nice. It's very bright, though, it could be a bit darker. The character is nice, too, she fits to the background well. Although, her appearence is bright, too, especially her face. Anyway, nice wallpaper.
