This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wall was made for aplastictree for the holiday festivities over at pointless vandalism. But i really do like it, and wanted to share it with everyone anyways (hope she doesn't mind).
When i was looking around on aplastictree's userpage, i noticed she liked rahxephon, and i thought...I LIKE RAHXEPHON TOO! and...i like to make lots of WALLS of rahxephon. I wanted to make something of quality that i would at least post on my site and not be ashamed.
Now, for the actual wall. To call it surrealist would be elite and make me sound deep which i'm not, as well as lump it in with the masters like dalí...which it can't be because he s a god, and this is my silly wall. But, i guess for the thought process surrealist would befit it most. When i say surrealist, there is no actual meaning to it. Think of it as a dream i guess. Theres no up or down or rhyme or reason. By definition, surrealism is not supposed to make sense to you on the surface but effect your subconscious. But i think everything effects your subconscious. SO, if you're trying to make sense of this wall, it's really not supposed to. But let it mean what you want it to mean. And if that means it sucks, well okay then. I just think it's pretty >_>

Definitely my kind of wall. I love the complimentary colors and the abstract nature of it all. Nice job with the blending. Text is great too. Old-school vibes are emanating from this. XD

Hmm... the best bit is the clouds, makes for dark impressionist wall that really cuts through in terms of textures, 3D like feeling to a canvas piece of art, it almost looks painted. I kinda find it funny for the jumble of texts, I think that can be a bit more neutral for better quality on the wall. The blue part below looks kinda too textured a blurry, but the whole theme and overall composition just works well anyway. Greatness!

Great wallpaper Kalico. I like the colors, and all the symbolic things hidden in this wallpaper. The position of the character is in a perfect, and the little ruff look is awsome. (+fave)
