After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
First off, this entire thing was made [almost] entirely by me, with a bit of stock for the clouds [though I can never find stock that I like, so I end up painting half of it and painting over the rest >_<]. The vector took forever, and I even spent a good deal of time on the text and little symbol [which does say "Mary Magdalene", but it's a bit dark]. Now for the unconventional bit [AKA the bit where I don't talk about how many layers/hours/blood I put into this sucker, but more emotional ranting.]

Most of you guys here at AP probably aren't going to read this. In fact, some of the people this is aimed at probably won't read it, but if you recognize yourself as one of the above, I'd be flattered if you'd take the time to read on.
In any case, I'll begin at the beginning. I've had this image on my computer for the better part of three years, and have always wanted to do something with it. I think a part of me knew that I didn't have the skills to properly fix the image and work with it the way that I wanted to, so I kept putting it off until recently. This image has a slight amount of emotional meaning to me [a joke between an old friend and I that I bet he doesn't even remember!], so I'm really happy that I was able to do something decent with it.
This particular image in this particular wallpaper is dedicated to someone. Are you that someone? Probably not. If you have no recollection of me ever speaking to you about this image, or you have no recollection of speaking to me in general... no. However, I know that everybody loses touch with old friends and makes new ones; that's just a part of life. Still, it makes you a bit sad to look back on a friendship that was relatively close [or in my case, several such friendships] and realize that you don't even know if that person is alright. Hence my earlier dedication of this particular piece of art [because that is essentially what a wallpaper is; no matter how you get to the end product, if it's more than an image you didn't take slapped onto a photograph you didn't make, there's some artistic process going on in there!] to friends. Mainly friends of the past [how are you guys, anyway?], but also friends of the present and future. I would have lost my tiny sliver of sanity long, long ago if it weren't for you guys.

And of course, it goes without saying that comments and favorites are absolutely loved :D I made this in 1440x900 [for use on Macs - I promise I'll make it bigger next time if I do another widescreen ;-;], but I do have 1200x900 and 1024x768 versions. Excelent wall featuring Rossette and Aion, the scene is great and all is very well done and the background suits perfectly. Good job, continue doing things like this. The anime is very cool, I watched some time ago and I was very impressed with the story and the charisma of all the characters I love them all ^^

I think the background really fits the scan and series. While my wall is completely different, i had the same idea of that dramatic sky and dark landscape, so i like it. it's a simple concept, but it works. and the addition of the specky ashes helps set the mood in more ways than most people can appreciate. It is a perfact wall? no, but nothing ever is. But the message and intent is clear, and even without that it's still a good wall. So with that misu, i say good luck :D

I think I have an idea of who you are dedicating this to, and I have to tell you that each time I talked to that person about your "old" friendship with you he always told me he never knew nor understood why you two stopped talking to each other after quite some time passed. He probably missed you as well. ;)
To the wallpaper. Well I obviously like it, it's exactly done the way that person used to make his stuff and I've always liked that particular style. The vector is alright and it doesn't feel sharp at all (you're actually one of the few people I know who are capable of having vectors look soft enough just like scans), and the background fits well the scene. It's oldschool style and that's how it's supposed to be. My only small gripe is that the text's font doesn't seem to work that well with the whole composition and atmosphere. And since you're making a wallpaper using THAT style, I think you could have used Trajan Pro, if you know what I mean. ;)
Keep them comin' Misu, and don't feel afraid (if you ever felt like that lol, I admit I don't know you that much although I wish I'd know you better) to hang around here a bit more. I'm still hanging around there at povism (prolly looking like your average 4chan retard though, haha) and inoodles as well, but it'd be nice if I could see you a bit active over here as well, and that's probably also pointed not just to you but to other people as well (they know who I am referring to). But well, whatever you do, it'll be alright. :P
Man everyone's getting nostalgia from this one! I read the whole description thing! Normally long descriptions are funny to me but this one was sweet since I can tell it meant a lot for you, and who you are talking about. You didn't tell me it had emotional value! I'm sure he'll see it and remember the good times. That image is pretty funny though, its like he's making her do the Campbell soup face. XD And HA you're totally wrong about it getting skipped over. o_o

The background is very good, the scene, the sky, and the colors are very nice. The character's combination is scary, though, they fit to the background well. The text is nice, too, good wallpaper.
