Happy New Year everyone! I’m know I’m a little late, but I’ve just been really busy lately and haven’t had much time to log onto Animepaper as regularly as I used to. I really wanted to start off this new year off in a new direction. And with that said, I proudly present to you all my very first fully vectored project. I completed this wall while taking a break from my Hoihoi san wall (which is still incomplete at the moment) for a while. I humbly ask that you please be honest with your comments. I put a lot of hard work into this wall, and while I would be happy to hear that you like my work, I am really counting on your honest opinions so that I may better my vectoring skills.
The original image I used was a drawing by one of my favorite artist, Sugiyama Gensho. This is by far, in my opinion, one of his best pieces and I had to use for my vector. I completed this wall entirely in Illustrator, with the exception of my signature, which was done in Photoshop, and is made up of 98 layers. I started it on the 1st of January and was completed seven days later on the 8th at 1:55 in the morning.
I want to give special thanks to the people behind Animepaer for welcoming me into this awsome community. I want to thank the brilliant designers at WACOM for making my digital tablet. *hugs tablet* I also want to thank all of my fellow members for making me feel at home and showing me how great this community is since I’ve joined. I wish nothing but prosperity for Animepaper and it’s members for this new year and beyond. Bye, for now, and take care, everyone.
Edit:
I added an extra shadow around her waist and I made her cheeks rosy for cuteness.
Aww kitty girl! I love the colors in this wall, but there is just something funky with her tail... It seems a bit short. *shrugs* She's just adorable though!

Oh :> so here it is your new wall :> i must admit that the vector looks really good and colors are well-matched :3 i wish i could see the original art to see how much work you put in it :] but i'm sure that you were working pretty hard on it and we can see the effect of it now:D
Really good work :D, pls keep it up :)
Wow~~~How attractive your wall is.though actually i don't show much interest in this kind of wallpaper, your wall does attract me and the girl is so bewitching, the background's hue is okay and a little special.all in all,it is not a bad wall.
Nice vector work and good use of colours. Is the front picture supposed to look like a photo? I think you should add more of a border to the bottom to make it look like a polaroid (a-la http://whyfiles.org/shorties/083giant_volc/images/polaroid.jpg), and add more of a shadow underneath it so it looks like it's resting on top of the picture. Perhaps reverse the colour scheme to make the background coloured and the photo more dull, as though it was taken with an old camera.
Nice vector. You've definitely come a long way. One thing I might suggest is to begin use of shape vectors for the outline, so they can attribute a more subtle transition. Keep it up!
^ What Na-kun said. Your vector work has definitely improved over time and I agree that the next step would be to break away from fixed-width black outlines to shape outlines.
As for this wall, excellent use of bright colors to complement the cutesey theme. Besides what Umboody already mentioned, let me just add that putting the photo dead center is rather stiff, would be more natural if displaced. Pushing a corner or two of the photo off the wallpaper is fine too, don't constrain yourself with "must fit everything in" rule.
I like how clear, clean and sharp everything looks! It's on of the things I look for in a wallpaper! I like how this wallpaper looks a bit like one photograph on top of another. Nice colours too! The catgirl looks very cute! As if she has just woken up after a long nap! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Very nice work! Thanks for sharing this wallpaper with us. Favorite!
Ah kawai! Gensho Sugiyama is also one of my favorite artisits, his designs arre just so cute! And I love how you done it as a photo, it looks really good!
