Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Woahh... Iam way past my 50th wallpaper border.. Iam so Happy! After making those previous wallpaper which were not impressive. I would never thought that this one surpassed my expectation!! Maybe because
well after watching Kanon 2006 i was inspired to make an anime wallpaper of Mai after seeing her in eps 12-15. The BG is from a forest stockphoto and i blended it with another stockphoto of a wooden gears added some lighting and leaves and change the hue/saturation of the wall .. hmmm i think ill be starting to make a Kanon wallpaper set... :)
Iam destined to be number 1...!!

First to comment ^_^ This is an awesome wallpaper! I regret to say I've yet to even start watching Kanon >< But this is probably the best wallpaper I've seen featuring it. I really like the color tones and textures in here. Great concept and background. I'd like to see this as a featured wallpaper.

The background is really good, though it's dark, it looks very nice. The character is cute, she fits to the background well. A short text would've been nice, though. Anyway, nice wallpaper.

Very nice overall composition. The borders of the scan show some light pixels (could have been cleaned up better), and the leaves are rather . . . overused? That particular brush/stamp, I mean. I really like the colors, and the background text that adds depth and texture but remains illegible is also quite nice. And the overall pencil-like texture fits nicely.

Really nice!. That whole brownish/organge-ish color that it has just attracts my attention and also how the girl is looking up kind of lost gaze in her eyes, I love it, I'll be adding it to my favs =]. Awesome work!

Great wallpaper, that's a really good choice of picture for Mai, as if she's looking up solemnly at a full moon whilst walking through this forest. The dark forest is also an appropriate choice for such a mysterious character. Great work with the blending, keep up the great work.

Oh what a lovely wall. I love the effect you have given to it, making it seem sort of old and dark, but it has a warm effect to it, it feels like autumn and I love it. Lovely scan Mai btw.

I love the cog things too.
