This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
OK.. new wall already, must be some sort of record for me...
The vector of Simca i got from here on AP, by jaderabbit. Textures from "mayang texture library" and the brushes from deviantArt.
Started of with a simple wall with just a fill layer and the vector and text. Eventually i tried some textures and some more textures and it got like this. Fixed her pantsu and Buttocks so they look better ^^.

Time: 5 hours + editing

EDIT: Filled up the empty space some and smoothened out the texture on simca
Hmm....nice wall but it still looks a bit empty. The colors are good. I like them. I absolutely love the design of the wings. And the 'effects' that you added to make her butt look better are very good!! Mm hmm...yeah!!hehe!! ;D
The bg is good, i especially love the colors. And the 'rusty' type of an effect.
I can see that you have changed the tittle. This one is much better than what it was earlier^_^
The char placement has been aslo done quite nicely. I must say it again, your coloring is very, very good. And i think sword was right, the wall certainly looks better without the two black borders. I also like the two faint overlapping lines running through the top of the wall. They look very good. The grass is nice.
However, the only thing i find a bit 'unnatural' is the origin of her wings. I forgot to mention about it in the shoutbox! Sorry!>.<
But that came with the scan so it's ok. Blame it on the scanner! haha!! ;)
But personally, i think the colors are the best asset or plus point of this wall. i really love it.

This is pretty nice, I love the composition and the colors, I was actually working on a paper that has the same color scheme as yours, we see how that turns. Haha.
The background is very bright, though, the colors are nice. The character is looking good, she fits to the background well. The title is good, nice wallpaper.
As I said I agree with you this is definitely one of your best walls! Gees hope you´re gonna continue in this way.

What I love about this series is the flow of movement in the characters motions and things about them. It puts me in a gentle mood. I love Simca's hair, and her in general, but adding the deeper yellow curls in the background compliments her.
The only thing that bothers is the area of dark tan/yellow at the bottom. The wallpaper felt like it was moving upward or falling with some wind, and the deep color at the bottom grounds the movement.
