This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
The reason why is if I make the thread, one of the other threads wont be on the main page. Only 10 can be there. The only unneeded thread was the freelancer thread. Besides, Eternal isn't a house. only a title.
Found this http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Howls-Moving-Castle/item17870/ scan awhile back, and I tried numerous versions of taking the castle and putting it in different evironments, however I felt that the the original enviornment was the the best, so i put the clone stamp to work and expanded the scan so it was a widescreen wallpaper. I also gave it the howl logo that disney gave em, made some lightening effects (such as accent the sunset), and gave it an overall darker look to it. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome.
I have seriously wanted a wallpaper just like this for such a long time. Unfortunately I'm not on a widescreen, but a bit of cropping and I should make it fit... I loved that movie, although the book is even better--the design of Howl's castle is what makes it so much worth watching again and again. Great job!

Wow good job! Im not such a big fan of the use of the clone tool in order to expand the wall out (def. not saying this to insult you >.<), but its still a very good wall! Your use of the clone tool is a little apparent on a bit of the grass on the right hand side, but other than that, you cant really tell. the darkened colors look great too. I always love howl's moving castle walls!
You know wat? you really did a remarkable job on this.....the effects and bg are very well done and detailed..its really awesome...the whole wallpaper looks like those movie posters which is totally really great...thus make it more alive..and the whole text you put for it fits in nicely...overall you really did a great job..or should i say the word awesome or magnificient..

the best part is the "texture" of the wall...it's painting-ish feel.
