As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

I've been working on the wallpaper for quite some time. Its a wallpaper that's meant to resemble Susume's silent ability and his ability to blend well into his background. I recently watched Peace Maker Kurogane and it was really cool so i wanted to make a wallpaper out of it. My favorite character was Susume. Although he's a ninja, he's still ignorant about skills.
I haven't seen the serie but the way you made this wall give me an idea of his stealthy skills. That collor distortion around him and that crack on the left makes you think he's blended in his surroundings. I like this part of the wallpaper very much, but there is something I don't really get...
On the right suddenly that collor distortion (I call it this way because I don't know all the photoshop-term's...) just stops in mid air, and makes a weird paint spatter on the dowside. Is this where his stealth ability stops or something, because I don't really see what you meant to do with this. In my eyes it would have been better if you just would have filled the whole background with that stealthy-skill-red-yellow-greenisch collor (you know what I mean =P )
This way there is just a gap in the wallpaper and I find that a waste of such a great wallpaper...
This may seem very negative, but sometimes such a things can make a wallpaper rise or fall... not that I think that this wall falls down =P

Yes this is perfect. I love the whole concept of blending susume into the background. Even the title has blended into the background which really makes it the "Silent Ninja". I'll be putting this as my desktop wallpaper!>_< yup! This is worthy to put into my favorites! Oh and i agree with avenger soul that it just seems to end on the right. but other than that its a great wallpaper!

This wallpaper looks great. I love the textures on the wallpaper, and nice background too. It matches well with the scan. I've watched this anime a long time ago, so i kinda forgot the characters names, but i think that guy in your wallpaper, is called Susumu, and not Susume...haha but i could be wrong...after all i did watch this anime a long time ago. Anyway, good job in this wallpaper, and keep up the good work. ^_^

The background is interesting, though, the upper part looks strange, because the colors are mixing together, and become difficult, to tell, what's there. The character looks good, he fits to the background well. Nice wallpaper.
Wow! nice work, i love the techniques used, you very rarely get a piece of work that has been thought about over a long time... a lot of people stop once they have drawn it but you take it to another level :)
I'm guessing the background is a stock photo, though it was kind of hard to tel at first because it is blended in with the rest of the wall in a excellent fashion. Nice calm and none eye burning colors used for it, a necessity for any great wallpaper. The only negative thing I can say is that I don't really like the particular position of the text. It just seems to be floating there. You blended all of your wall together so nicely so I think it would have been a good idea to fit the text in a little better. Still this is great for a first attempt.
