This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Here is my second wall... Yeah I know it's not really the same type as the first one.
Different manga : Devil Devil by Yûki Miyoshi
Different style : Vector wallpaper
Different feeling and mood : chibi and sweet.
The concept is simple : This batcat is a little devil... Looking as cute as hell can do! :D
Yeah so let's get back to business..
More than a month of work but only cause I vectored all the stuff from one scan and a lot of image or pictures... And of course it took me for ever to get nice colors, shading (ARGL it's really killing me!), writings and all the little details I add...
I did two versions of the Batcat. The one you can see in this wall and a second one that I liked better but she was a bit too colorful : http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/46513291/
It's my first vector character...
I also vector the mouse using some stock pictures of those old metallic mouses.
The books are from a little gif I found on Google pictures... It was an old drawing.
And for the wallpaper on the real wall of the room... I took some stock pictures of foot and hands print and I vector them to have only the shapes.
I did some kind of pattern I still have and can transform in any kind of software file so don't hesitate to ask! :)
At last the blackboard... :D
I vector a picture of a blackboard, got a lot of troubles to get a nice wood texture that wouldn't look TOO REAL...
After I fixed that I started to add a chalk painting... But it was too blurry and not that good looking... So I dropped it and put the title in there... But what a pity to get a nice look for that writing -___-
But let's stop about all those complains! :D
If anybody wants a not wide screen version I'll probably will make one so don't hesitate to ask neither! ^_^

New version of the wall with some correction on some jaggy lines and some white edges on the outlines.
So finally it´s here =) As I and people from SZ know this was a hard work, all the vectoring must be such a pain...
I love the whole idea, nice and funny, my favorite part is the teddy bear hiding behind the pile of books. Lots of effort and hard work as I said, nice job =) Keep up!
You have done a ton of work on this one, zazou, and i should know that very well! so for your effort alone on making this wallpaper, you deserve much applause. :D this was a wall long in the making but it was worth it, right? ;P it was a learning experience for you and i'm sure it has made you a better waller. i really like the me-to-you bear, and your batcat vector looks cute too. now just condense your description next time, although i really really appreciate that one line you used for the honorable mention of me! x] keep on walling and we'll always be around to support you. and before you say anything, I'll get to work on my fireworks wall...soon...eventually.

Yeah, 'lovely kitty' in disguise xD It's cute but I can tell it has that sly, smug look! It's what they call a 'bad kitty' and therefore gives this wall that extra touch.
