While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

This is my first wallpaper in animepaper hope you like it!
It took me one hour to make and I think the outcome is cool.
Used Adobe Photoshop CS 8 and render from Bleach featuring Kurosaki Ichigo (the main character of the anime) and a little of my art :P.
Since, it's difficult to find 1440 x 900 Bleach wallpaper's I made this one!
Well, I just finished the red version, and it has a few changes comparing with the blue one.
To start, I changed the background to red. Then made a few changes in the swords render that was a little bad cutted ( I tried to make the best I could). Also added a japanese text to the sword with a fire effect on it, that took me a little to make. To finished I changed the Bleach logo.
I think that the red one makes the wallpaper more badass, because of the expression in the eyes of Ichigo.
Absolutely fantastic wall, fabulous job if this was your very first. I like the mix of vector and the tech-blue parts. There are some minor things I don't really like, some parts of the sword for example, but that won't stop me +faving it. Good job!
If that's the outcome of one single hour of work on photoshop, I have to say that I'm really jealous!
The background is very nice and the whole composition very promising!
Still, I don't know if it's only my laptop or is there really a problem with the scan (some parts do not seem very clean).

Im also very pleased with the background being blue not red! Ichigo's color IS blue after all. ^^
The swirls look awesome to, they make you think of his swirly "Bankai-version" of Getsuga Tenshou!
That pose looks just right aswell, 100 points!^^
As for that text on the sword, it is indeed a bit off..
My suggestions is that you make it a litle smaller.
That idea about the having it in japanese might look really good to!
Also, They would look way better if they where a bit more "glowy", y'know? Like shining through the dark! ^^
So to sum things up: Awesome wallpaper! Keep up the good work!
I think you did an awesome job, with or without a red background. Blue is an awesome colour ^_^ And the swirls are amazing ^_^ And I'm loving the widescreen! Don't see a lot of those ^_^
I agree with Divious. i think it might look better if it was a red background. and the words on this bankai should be in Japanese..i think it would look cooler in Japanese, overall this was really nicely done for a first wallpaper.
