This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
Great, now im going psycho... it may be possible ive been spending a few hours searching for a scan that i think i saw but truly never existed... it was all in my head =.=;
This wallpaper has been lingering on my hard drive for who knows how long... until finally, I decided to finish it today. It's not that much really [and I'm definitely not happy with the way it came out] ~ I spent lots of time working on it, but I still feel like there's something missing, although I can't quite figure out what it is X_x
Anyway. Background consists of several renders done in Apophysis 2.0, altered in Photoshop CS2. For the scan, I used several new extraction methods [I'm still trying to get the hang of the pen tool and the whole stroke path / make selection thingy ^_^']. And that's about that. Enjoy :)
Seems like you keep the same style of backgrounds in your wallpapers.
I think that you did a nice job on extraction. The glow around the characters avoided you the trouble of blending the scan with the background.
I think that I would like to see some different background styles from you!
Keep up the hard work!

This is one of my favorite scans and you did a wonderful job of making it into a wallpaper! I love the colours, and the scan, background, and text fit together beautifully. The only thing I would change is the bit of flame over Abel's head - maybe blur it or make it a little more transparent so it isn't as obvious.
