This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Okay, this is the very first wallpaper I made in my 16 years of life (I'm usually into web-layouts).
I know it's not that 'professional', but I felt the need to use the image.
Yep, so I got the name of the old classic, 'Sound of Music' and yes, I'm well aware that the lyrics uses 'hills' not 'fields'.
But the background looked more like a field, and it's somehow related to Lacus' ever beloved song, 'Fields of hope'.
That's all I have to say, for now--I still have to review for my Statistics and Math exam.

It may be just me but i find the top half of the background too bright. It's so glaring that its the focus of my attention instead of lacus.I like your colour selection though and think you have done a good job for vectoring.

I think it's really good fior your first wall! The effects and everything are very pretty. As is Lacus; that scan of her is beautiful. I especially like the background and the title. Nice job!! ^_^
Anyways, 'tis a very purtiful wall, and very appropriate for Lacus. Since the wall's so bright, it actually looks normal on my darker rez monitor! The text is also done very nicely. Not bad, not bad.
This Lacus wallpaper is so sweet! $.$ I like so much the image and I like the light color with the pastels pinks colors! Kya! She is totally cute, she is trully an angel!!
I have to agree with what most people have said so far. The bottom portion looks great, but the top part is way too bright. Nevertheless, this isn't that bad of a wallpaper~
Simple? Are you blind? There are lots of nice details in this one, although as everyone else has said it is a little blinding to the eyes. XD The font you picked is very good though, and I like the music notes floating around, which is also appropriate since she's singing! For your first wallpaper this is fantastic! (now next time you need to make it a bigger resolution!) ;)
