This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I spent probably 12 hours on this not bad i guess. As you can tell it's inspired by the famous Andy Warhol picture (i think it was Marilon Monroe) I did this because i thought it was classy much like the anime. Enjoy because my fingures have bled for this project.
The tribute idea is amazing, but it isn't executed as well as it could've been. Spike and Faye's hair looks a little rough. The colors, however, are amazing; Ed is so cute! x3
It´s a good idea, I like overall the concept but... I know the work of warhol and I know that he didn´t use black outlines on marilyn, you need to look very carefully his work, on the other side, I like how Faye, Ed and Ein look, but I think that the style of spike brokes totally with the other three characters, it´s a nice idea but not very well executed, sorry ^^
It's really nice to see someone use the style of warhol in a wallpaper :) Nice work. Though one thing does stand out though, and it's the amount of shadowing that Faye and Spike have compared to Ein and Ed. Faye and Spike have so much shadowing and detail compared to the other two, and that kinda makes the wallpaper clash style-wise. Other than that though, overall nice work ^^
Im always a fan of an andy warhol themed wall, so i appreciate the work done here. The picture of spike is a little out of character for my taste but then again its an anime what do i know. Thanks for the tribute, i enjoyed every bit of the warhol color scheme
This is an excellent idea, but like other have said, Faye & Spike don't match the other two so well. Spike is done in a completely different style, while Faye has too much shading. And where is Jet? I think Ed & Ein should have been together and the 4th slot should have been Jet.
This is a great tribute! I love the colors and the overall design. I have to agree with the other posters that the image of Spike that you used is kinda offsetting with the images that were used for the other characters. Maybe if you do a second version of this with different image sources for each character, it would differentiate the characters from each other. Still, this is a great pic, and I hope to see more dope work from you!
