This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
Great, now im going psycho... it may be possible ive been spending a few hours searching for a scan that i think i saw but truly never existed... it was all in my head =.=;
I'll admit, most of the idea of this design came from James Bond's Casino Royale opening theme. The colours and style were so brilliantly enticing that I had to make something of practically the same style. This wallpaper features Lelouch and Suzaku from CODE GEASS. Through the use of swirls and the mix of bland, yet flavourful colours, this wallpaper was to portray the theme of chaos and war. This took me a while to put together haha. Hope you all enjoy :]
Nice work on this wallpaper. I really like the concept behind the piece, but I find the diagonal banner down the middle distracting. Maybe a more narrow one could work better with the design. Anyway, good job. ^_^
I really like this wallpaper, but something about the lines on Lelouch and Suzaku seem a bit off to me. Were there any filters you used on the original scan?
I rather like the collage-like feel of this wall! I'm not a big fan of the way you colored Suzaku and Lelouch either, but I understand the effect you were going for. Pretty decent work.
I really like the concept of this wall, (Go James Bond!) and the positioning is interesting as well.
The colours could have been better chosen however, so that they would "pop" instead of being dry. Perhaps move away from the gray tones?
This wall really caught my attention. The background (I really like the swirliness and the feather!) and the position of the characters really helped with that.
However, I think the paper would be better if you keep things a bit more consistent; if you are going to outline the background, then outline everything in the background; same thing with the fonts.
But overall, this is a really nice wall! Keep up the good work!
