This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It's been quite awhile since I've made a wallpaper. To be honest, I wasnt' captivated by Tsubasa until the 14th volume in spite of reading the previous ones before coming to this one. When I was reading on Kurogane's past, upon seeing this image, made me squee and want to wall it. The colouring began in mid-November and finished early December. However, a coloured manga scan is nothing until it is manipulated, which was the portion of the time that stretched on until the end of January. It wasn't touched until about the eve of the finished work but by the end, it finally worked out and inspired by the lyrics from Eternal Memory. It wasn't until January 28th 2007 (about 4 or 5 years) that I finally found out the singer is none other than Lena Park for Disney Movie Mulan (no wonder it sounded Disney-ish everytime). The mood I was trying to depict is a sepia toned theme and I think I finally got it. My thanks to especially ~Fuujin aka Aria-chan for giving a really good suggestion and I'd also like to thank the peopel on Session zero for taking the time to take a look at the wallpaper.
Ooh, it's so pretty... I love the lightness of the colors and how it's in a book... ^^ I love Kurogane and after reading those chapters about his past, I love him even more. x) Must fave. :D
I love the book concept and I think that you pulled that off very well. However I'm not quite sure about the 'bubbles' placed throughout the wall, nor do I really like the texture used. There is just something that bugs me about it perhaps because it was used for the whole wallpaper and not just on the book or the background; that is the only reason that I can think of for why it bugs me. Still overall I think this was a very good wallpaper.
This is amazing. You've managed to maintain the sense of mysticism and the nostalgic air of memory with your chosen color scheme, as well as a hint of the vibrancy such potent memories hold. Also like the pages can symbolize, the faint color is a wonderful hit to the layering of time. In short, the construction of your paper gives a good nod towards the meaning of the moment it represents.
The only thing is that the words in the corner are a bit too faded at the edge. In something like this it might be best for all of the words to be there and 'lost', or none at all, rather then partially visible. That could just be a personal preference.
You have to be one of my favorite Tsubasa wallers here. You've got a great eye, a good balance of images, and you keep everything attractive and practical. Great job!
Zomg, I wanted to see something like this since his story was just so SAD
;_;
But anyway, yeah, love the concept! All of his memoris all nicely in a book for Syaoran to see, ahhh, but hmm, love the yellow and the simplicity of the background. Had you done something with the background, it would have been too over whelming. Great job!
Wow, it's quite a waste I didn't see this wallpaper earlier...but hats off to you. This wallpaper is gorgeous, love the concept of it. Your colouring is really simple, but soft and nice.

This is probably the most amazing Tsubasa paper I've ever seen.
