This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
The one-liner is from animerender.com. Each time when I post on their forum I got random witty-one-liner (shown on redirect page). its sure one of the best way to cheers the forumer. I was obliged to show it here
haha enuff with my advertising agenda, please indulge my ego.
I dont have much time so I'll used my handy list.
1. Load L stock for power-trace on Corel Draw.
2. Extract lineart, you could download L lineart on my deviantart scrap page.
3. Grayscale
4. Colors, highlight, shade & add some weird stroke on the left hand (hide the cutout).
5. Doodle, draw the sun (i love my sketchy sun drawing),clouds (3 cloud haa) and flock of birds. (the small black bird near the cloud). the bird is just from random scatter and smudge. If it doesnt look like a bird, gomen. Lastly,do the dot. merge all & load it in my compressor tool.

Both the title and text are very unique, the colors are really awesome too. With L in the middle, my desktop icons won't be in the way xD Nice and simple; the font's really cool too. =) +Favorite
I love everything about this wallpaper. The colors the text even the image of L used. It's all goes together perfectly! Another plus is that the image is in middle so that when I use it I would have to rearrange my desktop icons.
WOW! Fantastique !
Love the background a lot, especially the doodles, brush and the font you used for the text. Oh and the combination of colours is perfect, everything blends in well together.
Keep up the good work.
I like how it looks simple and witty, I love the one-liner lol
I think the pastel stripes are great and it matched L's expression well.
Very nice!

I love this one, and I've used it -- it has a completely different mood than most DN wallpapers, and I appreciate that. It's L out of the context of the story. (It can be difficult to find good L walls if you don't like dark-colored wallpapers.)
However, although I like seeing your process here, and I would rate this paper highly... ultimately, I think I would have preferred that the character at the center be vectored. That he isn't is the major reason why I don't use this one more than I do. (It was included in some large wallpaper pack that I downloaded somewhere a while ago.)
It's still a great wall, though, and still faved... just... I would have liked him with more sharpness and detail, to go with the detail of all the other great elements you included.
