This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Yeah... I hate vectoring ALOT. It's time consuming, it's boring as hell to do, and, above else, I suck at it. But I knew I had to vector this REALLY low quality scan
(that I found at that website), in order to create a high quality wallpaper. Vectoring this bad boy took FOREVER, because I stink at it and it's a lot of shading and stuff to do. However, I am happy with the result.
I also added some textures (although I wanted the white to stand out so I left it un-textured), the symbol on Canti's face, and some color changes here and there.
Hopefully people will like it, or else I'm gonna go CRAZY! @_@
I even gave both widescreen AND regular resolution. So go crazy.
I know you spent a good amount of time on this vector. ^_^ It turned out great!(Meaning...you don't suck at it then.) I'm glad you changed the background colour from that ugly shade of blue to the nicer steel blue.(and not just because it was my suggestion but because it looks a lot better than the other blue with Canti's red shade) The textures are great too and I like the white left untouched because it makes for a great design.
Woo nice vectoring. BTW I agree with you, vectoring is a hell damn waste of time.
Good choice of scan to vector, it has nice action there. Hmm not the best colors but still I like it a lot +fav
Wow.. I'm actually digging everything about this paper, especially the texture. It's subtly chaotic, doesn't impede on the overall chaos of the image as a whole. Looks awesome. Fave. (And thank you, thank you, thank you for walling this widescreen =D)
Great vector! Nice action picture of the ”god robot” =)
Nice colour range. I always love picture that is rather gray and not to bright ^^
Good resolution as well!
