After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! A chibi wall IO made...well..this was not a little bit hard to make but it took me 3 hours to complete this...I'm having a problem with the grass that's why..then I found the scan at MT..hope you like it!
The name-order needs to be harmonized: It's either "Hyuga Neji" with "Nara Shikamaru" (the Japanese way), or it's "Neji Hyuga" with "Shikamaru Nara" (the English way). One can't be one way with the other the other way. "Nara" is also spelt wrong. Also consider changing "Hyuga" to "Hyuuga", though the former isn't technically wrong.
For such a nicely vectored background, a smoother font might look better. Maybe look into a thicker font too, which in my opinion tends to compliment the chibi style more.
Is that a shadow around Shikamaru's foot? It looks strange... like it's too smooth to be shadowed on grass, and too dark for the bright and sunny day. And then Neji is shadowless. ^^;
Anyway, it's very cute! I especially like the sky and how it works with the scan, with Neji gazing out in awe and all.
I have trouble with grass too but if you want it more realistic, then take out the white grass and replace it with another shade of green. If you're using photoshop(which you probably are), then try the "Flip X jitter" setting for the brush under Shape Dynamics.
Another thing you could do with the grass is give persepective to the grass. Try to make the grass on seperate layers(the bottom layer being the grass farthest away). The grass farthset away will naturally be darker and be smaller than the ones that are close.
Get rid of the group of birds, they break up the flow and seem out of place. Also, about the listing of the names of characters underneath the wallpaper title, get rid of that as well since it breaks the rule of three and disrupts the fluidity of the piece.
