This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Wow WhiteBlaze is doing a vector what's up with that eh? Yeah if you didn't already know then I will tell you know; this is my first vector ever xD So be gentle! lol Hmmm I could go in so many different directions with my description I am kind of lost >.> Well I will start with the basics I guess. The idea for the wall hit me like 3 weeks ago and I stated it 2 weeks ago xD So I lazily worked away at the vector and I ended up spending 22 hours on it o_0 Once that was done I spent the next couple days trying to come up with an idea for a BG and after 6 tries I finally started developing something I liked lol. I also noticed the gallery was extremely low on trend whore style walls and I knew I had to do something about that. The result: trend whore/grunge/vector. xD Yeah it was an interesting process to say the least.
Alright I got some comments in regards to comments xD First off I am not going to be changing this wall. To me it is complete. Now I know this wall is what I would call "controversial" simply because most people will like it or hate it. So if you are one of the people who hate the wall but still want to comment don't leave a long message telling me all the things that are wrong. Secondly, if you like the wall don't leave a 2 word message I cant stand those and quite frankly neither can anyone else. This applies to all wallpapers. Please say something meaningful. Thank you.
(Edit: for those of you who didn't understand I ment I dont want to see a huge list of things you dont like I dont mind a couple crits :P)

Excellent job on the vector =D hmm...pink theme...looks familiar XD THe pink contrast with the bg is good, but I'd like more =P The grunge effect combined with techno is new...at least to me =/ A slight prob, I don't really like the double text, it leaves me wondering where my focus should be: the background, or the char? besides that, this is new, I like it =D

I like this one. She does behave like that on the show and just the entire thing fits well. the pink monochrome fits her, and the Green makes her stand out.

What can I say after an author's comment like that XP I know how long you spent on this wall, and I acknowledge that you now can offically vector! I'm glad you took my advice and made the lines continuous and got rid of the drop shadow. But why did you go and blur the font? :/ Otherwise, I love the textures, you know I do XD Now go make some more! :3
I sense some double-meanings in this one.....XD. I don't really like pink, but this one makes me like pink very much so atm. I really like the vector and the contrast between the colors is good. Sorry if it's a bit short I'm not one to talk a lot like some others we know... :P Good job and + fav'ed

PINK! It's hard to imagine a guy like you could make such a...pink wallpaper. Not hiding any secrets, are you? XD Okay okay, don't kick me, I'm commenting. It's a great idea you have there. Nothing matches better than pink, green, and black! Great vector and spiffy background makes this wallpaper a winner. Yeah, I can't type critiques. Not that there's any to really critique. Just know that I love it. =P
yeah, neways, onto the comment. Trendwhore? Only a little. Even tho I've seen those brushes used a lot, you really took them and made them your own!
But I have to agree with dhias, blurry font makes me sad sad. Somehow it doesn't fit with the clean cut lines of the vector, blurry-ness that is.
BTW very creative thing with the other logo.
I'm putting this on my desktop for sure!

Alright, I have to admit, I love colour schemes that people don't usually work with, and this is one of them. Even though red and green are complenetary, you don't usually see it like this, so, uhm, hoorah. Also, I'm a sucker for trendwhore grunge, and you did it so nicely too! The vector is gorgeous, and the texture makes it more than a normal vector, so that gains points too. XD
I'm diggin it just cuz its Haruhara Haruko. If it's FLCL it can't be wrong. I think the pink is a bit much but I'm sure the ladies love it. Also the green goes well with the pink...kinda watermelon flavored!

Yeah anyway. The vector is amazing and the background matches extremely well. The contrasting green against the pink was a good choice. Sorry, a useless comment, but no critiques. Good stuff. And my new desktop~! XD

As for the background... zomg... I WUB it! Clashes of pink, green, and black mized into a grungy trend-whorish look. =3 Love it. Just the green background, contrasting with the pink makes it look all the more awesome. I like the black in there, too.. since.. of course, as everyone knows ~ Black is the best and matches with anything. Love the dapples of off-white paint look-a-like stuff. Nice effect =P Reminds me of spoilt milk. xD And just the design of everything adds to funkyness of the vector itself.

Wow, awsome wall! I'm not a huge fan of FLCL, too crazy for me :P, but this wall is awsome. And so pink! I LOVE pink. I feel like you captured the crazyness from the anime, especially with the background. I love the colors and the effects. Great job! It's a fav for me!
