This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

This is my first collab ever and I was lucky enough to have as nice and patient a partner as August to put up with my many questions. =P in the beginning, I took on the easy part of typing up the text, based on the cast & crew for the actual anime. I used other images to help me with the logo (not very good at drawing wolves), sticking to a blue color scheme. When August sent me her finished vector of Blue (it was very nice for her first), I set to work on adding details, shading, and textures (except for the eyes, August did them). Eh, sorry for the cheap attempt at something so... a la Grayserg (to borrow MinstrelKnight's phrase) when it came to Blue's hair. Having translucent streaks was, in my mind, the simplest way due to the illusion of more detail coming from overlapping areas. *changes topic* Ah but the mist, isn't it wonderful? ;] August did a marvelous job on that. Anyway, hope you like this!

Let's see, how did this go? Well, first we split it up so I would do the vector of Blue and Asa would make the movie logo and text. Then we decided on where to put Blue, the moon, and the logo; placing them to the side was Asa's idea, I'd thought center at first ^_^; (her idea was much better). We where going to make it a lakeside theme at first, but it just didn't look convincing with the moon so big, so we scrapped that and went with mist instead. After that, we switched and Asa worked on enhancing Blue while I placed and arranged the Logo and text with the layout and put in the mist. After that, Asa sent me back the edited image of Blue and I put it in and gave it an overlay to enhance the colors some. The eyes, those where definitely a collaboration, I made the initial eyes with the vector, Asa did some enhancements, then I did some more enhancements on top of those. And after the appropriate amount of fine tuning, we where done ^_^ And for the whole thing, Asa was just a truly amazing person to make a collab wallpaper with, she's really good at planning things and her observations where thoughtful, very good natured, and, well... she's probly better at collabs than I am, and this was her first one ^^
Awosome :D
I just noticed this wall now .. Sorry for my late comment u_u"
I LOVE the BG the charater looks great vector and the Moon looks Awosome :D
You too did a really GREAT work , Fav+ n_n
Wow, it's great ^_^ I love the pic of Blue you used and all the blue-ness :D So beautiful, I don't know what to say the mist is great, too x3 just... wow! definitely a fav
Seems like any of your can accept the award on this wall
Anyway what a WONDERFUL collab! I love the vector... I really enjoyed watching all the details in the hair then the eyes that are purely amazing (my only complain would be that she doesn't have any darker spot in the middle but as I can't even do something barrely looking that good I should probably shut up! :D).
The details on the shading of the face are really impressive and give to the face a pretty "real" feeling.
As for the texturing of the clothes they make me think to gankutsuou.
But let's talk about the background now shall we? ^_^
The combine mist and wolf is really cool looking. Especially the mist that looks just like it was coming out the wolf's mouth! Really great effect!
I'm not a fan of the font credits but it's always the case on poster so you did your best. The flower is missing some more details but I guess making it more detailed would have taken away some of the intrest of the scan...
The moon and sky are really lovely... (sorry I can't think of an other word... :-s)
So as a conclusion I would say that this is an amazing collad for two amazing artists! :)

Blue is so pretty...I think that she is the most underappreciated character in Wolf's Rain. She's a really fantastic girl, and this wallpaper captured her icy spirit very nicely. Great job on this wallpaper!
I like this wallpaper blue is is beautiful female character and the moon in the background matches the anime story perfect and creates a cool atmosphere
well done work
I find this wallpaper enchanting. You caught the feeling very nicely and the tones as well. I like to see that there are people who can produce wonderful wallpapers! Keep up the good work!
Great wall and great idea~ It's a great collaboration and it took me 4 months to comment on it because the first time I saw this wall, wasn't on AP but some random wallpaper site (cant remember now). I'm glad to have found the source artists, and I really enjoy the theme, colors, everything :D
