This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Wallpaper needs no explanation
it was supposed to be for the Aerial Stunt round 1 contest down at AP Elite.
Didnt make it, not that I think I will even get one vote, but heck...
I loved my last freeze frame Air Gear wallpaper with Mikan jumping over something like a bar and freeze that moment, this was something similiar.
Wanted something like a ghostly image, as if she was there for a moment and then she wasnt.
dark subway staircase for added effects of the wallpaper. Not my photograph tho.
The whole idea was to make it look better and looks more creepier I guess, like a past that got stuck in the present, a glimpse from the corner of your eye, just when you least expected it, it flashes by and fwooop... it was no longer there.
Not that this wall is even remotely enjoyable, just take it with a pinch of salt.
Wow! it looks great! you did a great job vectorising it and all~ the colours you chose are perfect and choosing a subway staircase as the background really does give off that creepy presence! great job!
Just how do you come up with stuff like that? IT's *different*. I like different. Plus the dark atmosphere and descending stairway really strikes a chord with me.

Hmm definitely something different...but I like it, the concept is pretty cool and the idea behind it, too. Bit reminds me some smoke image made like from nothing and than faded away. As I said, nice idea.
Hmm nice escher blend in of the background with strange distorted vibe to it. Credits for that altough the vector/anime connection is becoming a bit hard to vind :P ya are starting to turn more into a originel (anime) wallpaper waller then a anime waller :P nothin bad bout that tough ;) nice job keep it up

I'm not quite sure what to think about this one. It certainly is unique..and I like it! The distorted part of the background looks really cool and real. This is a great wall, honestly. FAV, for it's differentness.
I'm looking at it now for 10 minutes, and i still don't know what that vector should be...is it human?!^^° maybe this mysteriousity is what makes yor wallpaper so interesting...very nice idea anyway.
Your idea is creative. After Swallow passed by, the resulted strong airflow tortured the wall. Although only her shadow appears in this picture, it is quite motivated. This speciall effect of the wall is great. I like it.

The background is very good and a little creepy coz you created a good effect :), though, the colors are nice. Like how the movement is depicted in the picture good job
Very interesting...lol, I couldn't really tell what the wallpaper was showing at first, but it's clear to me now. It's very interesting, don't see this style normally. I think it's just a bit messy, but i guess that's unavoidable, oh well, I guess that's what makes it good!
*feels sick* Ooo...eee...aeeee...The...the wall so curvy. Make you want to throw up on someone. The background...let's just say STUNNING. It's like the wall is making people look dizzy while this one girl past by in the same place that yesterday. Also, the detail good and the manipulation of that girl is really good.
