This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I made this awhile back...for a friend. There was a lot of editing done on the image itself. But I manage to get it to the shade the soft blue I like.
This wall was made sometime back in April, I uploaded, but I thought why not share it. Its also one of the largest I've ever made ^^;
It was acutally a two page scan, there for I had to fix the scanlines byadding some brushes to cover up the texture of the scan and also the creases, also played with some filters to get the textures to blur out and give it a softer look.

You could work on the scan, because I can seen the scan line. But nice overall.

Bright blue, bright blue!
This is nice..soothing too, great if it weren't so bright XD
oh well, guess the burn tool in Photoshop is going to come in handy..
SHIN-SAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! >/////< He's really mad, but I still think he's cool!! Shin Natsume, Aya Natsume and Masataka Takayanagi are my fave characters from Tenjo Tenge... Aya is so nice, Masataka is very funny and Shin is simply... COOL!! >///<

Frankly speaking this wallpaper kinda ranks pretty low in terms of embellishments, for if I'm not wrong this picture is taken from one of the manga volumes. However that said the picture is well-composed for the size of Shin is well-balanced across the space. Furthermore the fuzziness rendered gives it a sort of ethereal feel which looks cool, much like the character himself, haha. Lastly this wallpaper would look nicer if there wasn't this faint line cutting across the entire wallpaper somewhere in the center. Is it a deliberate feature or was it becauase the picture was taken from a manga spread? Anyway, a job well done!
