This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I was bored of online games and TV today, so instead I made a wallpaper ^^ Spent all noon doing all this. Erm, well I've seen many rosette wallpapers with wings behind her back lol. My friend and I even had an arguement because his idea went overboard and my previous background idea (not this tho) was told that it wasn't suitable. xD what cha expect from kids..?
Those feathers were hard to make them look scattered around the wall =.= i'm not happy with the dumb feathers, argh. I made that brush feather tho. Well at least I'm satisfied with the result. 46 layers all together, and 6 hours of work smiley
Okay, having a headache after making all this is unfortunate smiley I need to get some rest, my eyes really hurt xD
Comments and favs given are truly appreciated =) thanks ~
Look at the left side is the vertical line at the very edge should be there? i think it's part of the texture you used
aside from that it's really good :D

Nice effects. I love the mystical feeling it radiates. The feathers are nice additions but I think they need to be a bit more detailed. I could hardly see the tiny hair. The sparkles are well placed. Lastly my favorite is the text. Gotta love the blurred effect. Very nice work.
Wai! this wall is so pretty! it has some really nice colours and the background is very nice. the wall also has some great lighting and effects. great job with the wings and the feathers. Well done! =D
Yea the wings do look abit out of place but the overall effect is very good, i like the colors and background design alot... i didn't know she had short hair...i always assumed it was long. good job ^ ^ !
Wth i dint even reconize who she was until i put my mouse over the bg i cant believe thats rosette bg isnt that impressive it needs better lighting.. i love that wings that was added on gj :D
Looks great yumi. gets me in to mood to rewatch chrno crusade hahaha. i think i've seen the wings before? or do they just look similar? lol i recognise them from your layout :X the feathers looks nice as well. great job overall yumi. *you beat me to walling this scan *

User Comments!
aside from that it's really good :D
First. The simplicity in the color. The Blue, but with many tones.
Second. The effects, well composited and beauty.
Third. The abstract background. Well, i'm not a very "techy" guy, but the backgroud makes agood fusion with the wings
The only thing i dislike is the anime character... this wall would look great with "a Kos-Mos" in it.
