Uh, yeah. I know the colors are like "OMG!" but that's why it's funky...
This wallpaper took me about 2 hours and I feel like something's still not right with it and so I don't really dare to try to upload it. Could you people help me a bit?
The problem aren't the colors. It's just about everything else though.
1. The scan- is it merely a filter or is it a poor vector? It's jagged and blurry in all the wrong places.
2. While I see your attempt in a sense of depth, it pretty much failed. Try having gradients on your lines coming outward.
3. Some of your warped/filtered brushing (circle things) are jagged. That's what happens when you expect default photoshop filters to do some good. For the most part, filters are crappy and so is excessive brushing/enlarged brushing.
4. Your font color and choice and placement is could use some work. Maybe tilt it a bit/not have it so squished/ and find more of a "I Love 70s Show" or "Austin Powers" font?
5. White background = bad. Find a nicer color and gradient. You don't want Rukia's clothes to camoflauge in it. BRING OUT the character...
First off, really cool. the whole outlook is awesome, but there is a little editting needed. the character is a little blurry, im not sure if it just a poor cleaning, or if that's how you wanted it to come out. the look could work, but i think it Rukia will stand out better if it was vectored alot better, and the character was sharp. The bg is cool. you should probably add something to the white to give more depth. and i don't think the font works at all. i understand it's the title, but the wall could do without it on the wall. other than that, it's really good. i hope to see this one in the gallery.
The idea is really nice but tbh the first thing that came to my mind was more what the heck? than funky...the white background just doesn't work, even though i can see your trying to put a sense of depth it just isn't happening...and rukia herself is sorry to say very poorly made...at the same time i guess that's to be expected cause you only spent 2 hours on it...perhaps working with more colors, less circles, and spending more time to try to clean up the wall and work with the fonts a bit more, i'm sure this will turn really successful, good luck

For some reason, my head is screaming 'FILTER' (water color perhaps?) XD
Anyway, I can see where you're trying to go with this but I don't think the 'circled vectors' are necessary to help you carry out that concept. Although I very much like your choice of colors, but it blends in too much with the character. Your font style does not fit really well with the wall, maybe choose a different font and not stylizing it?
Nevertheless, you did carry out the 'funky' look very well like you intended, so good job on that. I think if you went for a retro and grungy look, it'd look aweseome *_*
Anyway, goodluck on the wall!
