This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.
If you look at life and see what's there too much, it kinda gets you cranky ya know? It's like, what am I gonna do with this? Couldn't things be just a little bit more friendly and less troublesome an complicated? Can I just get a break here and have things go good for me without all the fuss? cuz ya know, I don't ask for much, I don wanna be rich or powerful or have other people see things my way or whatever, I just wanna live an have a fairly good time of it and all that (see? cranky) but really, how realistic is it to expect that? Well... I think it's not very realistic at all, IF you're being realistic when asking the question that is ^^ But what if you're not? (not being realistic that is) Say, if I where to just pretend that life is a friendly place and have enough confidence to ignore it when someone tries to get me to look at it different, then what would happen? Well, I don't know really, I suppose the answer would be different person by person, it could be a train wreck for all I know, but maybe it's something to think about anyway ^_^
I called this wallpaper "Find your light and live free", an I guess that's the feeling behind it for me. Like, in the anime, it's not so dramatic or edge of your seat or anything like that, just lives lived according to how the ones living them wanted to live, which might be a pretty incredible thing...
The characters in the wallpaper are: Natsumi Tsujimoto and Miyuki Kobayakawa
This wallpaper was also kinda me experimenting with using textures a bit (thanks to `cheche115 for the advice on this btw n_n) I also did a bit of experimenting to get that light effect the title refers to too... anyway, so how do you like how it turned out? :) I know it's not anything of a breathtaking peace of pure art or anything, an I doubt it'll get all that many comments or favs ^_^; but it's nice not to try for that every time I think an just make something nice for the heck of it ^^
Aw, thats so cute :) hehe. love the grungy type of effect. :D hehe. Supper clean, and sweet. Love the scans, they are very neat, adn unique. :) I also like the bg work, simple yet effective in a way. ^^ ahah. favs, very interesting, yet simple wallie!!:) Great job!! :D

Very well done--very "bright", but the effect comes together well, and it really does capture the characters themselves. We do need more YUA wallpapers--the pattern surrounding them is also quite nice.
Very nice! Good, simple design with nice colours! I like the pattern that frames the two policewoman! Looks very attractive! I like the light effect in the middle of the scan! Great idea! Favorite!
Awesome. A You're Under Arrest! wallpaper :D I hardly see this series walled, so it's a blast to see the police duo ^^
Overall, your wall is very nice. The light is a bit bright however, and if it was toned down would work wonders. I like the design you have around Miyuki and Natsumi, and your work with the textures is right on. Nice work :)
Your wise words have touched my heart, really! I love these two policewomen from Bokutou Police Station and the show has exactly the attitude you are talking about. Aww...if it could be all that wonderful...
I don't know if it's meant to be, but the tyre thing at the back is a clever trick!

Go textures! :] i've grown quite fond of them. and your usage of textures is quite interesting in this wall.
but as you can predict, i find this bright. >_< i guess especially so for me because my preference for walls lie on the dimmer side of things. ^^; a matter of personal opinion, although i find that in some cases, brightness tend to fade the details of a wall. anyway, that just reminds me that i have to get to work on the next wall of mine. x_x
The girls are just breathtaking. Did you draw them yourself? If so, I bow to you. Small detail I can complain about is that the girl on the right (sorry I don't know which one is which) has too much light in her face. The picture gives me a sense of equality between the two girls, but the too much light kills that impression by blurring one's features.
I like what you did with the background lighting and the texture. I get halo setup with the pattern in the background, but is that suppose be a Celtic rope? Anyways, I love what you've done with this piece and thanks for the notice about it. This one is going into my favorites.

I would be very favoured! The 1st takes you to the main page, the 2nd the soundtrack page, and the last a little scan page.
