As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. To completely honest, I have no clue what Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito is about, but the scan was purty I couldn't resist myself. ^_^"

I basically wanted to create a very pretty, but very lonely (hence the chilling blue) "paradise", the "reflection" meant to be somehow also a mirror and a barrier between "paradise" and the "other world", so basically... she's trapped inside. :X

It was more of a for-fun piece, doing what I love doing best - big soft brushing and texturing. <3 emoticon The ruffles on the scan were a bit of a pain to extract (and I actually bothered spending some time extracting for once... ._.) but it was otherwise made for the pleasuring of wall-making. :)

I don't know what the series is about either, but that is one gorgeous wallpaper. The background fits well with the scan. And I actually really like the text. Excellent work!

Its beautiful! however, i see some minor flaws. >.< I hope you dont mind me pointing them out. The ripple on the water should be more flatter...you should free transform it, and make the height smaller but keep the width the same, if you know what I mean. Right now, it doesnt match the perspective in the wall because the ripple has too much height. Her reflection should have less opacity too since its a reflection. It should also have less height (like the water ripple) so I would just do a free transform and make the height smaller and keep the width the same. The colors in this wall definitely attracted me. I simply adore blues combined with purples and light pinks. veeery pretty and nice job!
