This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.
The whole time I was making this wallpaper, I kept hearing that No Myth (Romeo in Black Jeans) song in my head :3 Flashback.
I remember when Gankutsuou came out, a lot of people were upset that it wasn't following the original story. However, I was ecstatic. What's the point of repeating the same old story in the same old way when you have an avenue as limitless of animation to bring any fantasy to life?
As soon as I saw this image, I scanned it and started working on it. Romeo x Juliet is proving to be anything but a cookie cutter version of the story, and because of that, I like it even more. I completely re-drew (or "vectored") the original scan, and even created the background using vectors and textures to make the stones look right. I was seconds from texturing it, but then decided this was just perfect with a glossy finish. It was tedious, but we'll just say this time it was a labor of love ;D
Love the series, definitely expecting quite a lot from it, and the wallpaper is just beautiful. Have to cut some corners to make it fit on my non-widescreen monitor, but it still looks good. Awesome job on the wallpaper *thumbs up*
Love the wall just started to watch the show and I have to say its really interesting watching japenese version of Romio and Juliet
anyways nice wall keep it up definite fav
I'm glad you made a romeoXjuliet wallpaper! =D I love most of your work and this one looks awesome. I love how you make your scans look so clean and in good quality.
A sentimental love story,I I love the concept on this wallpaper. love it so much.I just hope the Anime series can have a happy ending.I don't want to see the sad ending again.
I love you!! This series is one of my favs from this new season! And to have a wallpaper is just great, mainly because there isn't so much material about this right now. You did it in a great way. Just beautiful. And I think as you about what's the point about doing the same story again and again, I think that Gonzo is doing an excellent job with Shakespeare's play. Is something very refreshing. Thank you, thank you for doing this wallpaper about this magnificent series.

With my much-mentioned like of dark wallpapers as well as your work, this wallpaper is a natural for me to get and use. There are plenty of nice little things to like in it, like the moonlight and the stray strands of Juliet's hair. I also like what you've done with the tint, changing it to something more green than in the original scan. The sharper colors are great, too.
Well, I only know the original story by Shakespeare but I hope the anime hasn't such a sad ending ^.^
Great wall like always Nat!
Wonderful work on redrawing the scan. It looks really clean and crisp. Great!
The background looks also really good and interacts fine with the scan. You created a really nice and romantic scene in this wall. So romantic!
Maybe I will start to watch this series because I started watching Gankutsuou after I've seen your wall ^.^
