This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
Great, now im going psycho... it may be possible ive been spending a few hours searching for a scan that i think i saw but truly never existed... it was all in my head =.=;
I have'nt been walling for a month+...So here i am again with a new wall even though i've been so busy. X_x Well anyway, this was a quickie. I took the scans both from AP:
Then i extracted Sora, and placed him in together with the jungle scan thingy. I wanted the wall to look like he's stepping into an illusional jungle. That's why the whole place is shrouded by the black smoky darkness. Last of all, i placed a bunch of textures over the scan and changed some of the colors on the scan.
Here's a different version with glowy things:
I hope you all like it even though it was a quick one. Please comment or fav if you like either versions. ^__^
EDIT: Since everyone preferred the non-glowy version...i changed the main wall to non-glowy and the alternate version here as a thumbnail, if anyone of you is still interested in it. xD Thanks for the feedback. ^__^
2nd EDIT: Removed some textures from Sora's face. Thanks for the tip phoenix. ^_~ Also, i changed the typo in "ilussion" to "illusion". Haha that's what i get for doing things in a hurry. Thanks to poohyuki for pointing that out.
Yes, because within the first hour or so we can't see the fullview, the non-sparkly version will ave to suffice... I think I like that version better anyway. ^_~
I feel the texturing you placed on top of everything made the Sora scan kind of look bad/patches on his skin/face. T'was a quickie eh? ^^; The text is awesome. What font is that? It fits this theme perfectly...

Sweet wallpaper... you can never have too many kh wallpapers, i like how you blended the forest and the black background together along with sora... it had a nice effect, nice work! =_=
I think has potential. Sora looks well placed into the jungle scene. However, the black part looks like you took airbrush and just rounded off the edges. Maybe use a filter to create the blackening effect. If it was me I might have made him stepping through a keyhole.
