After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
You won't see the halftone effect well unless you full view!
I wanted to recreate the halftone effect of the original scan. This seemed conceptually easy but turned out to be quite a pain...
First off, it wasn't quite the usual vectoring. Instead of gradient fills, it had to be separate flat color fills behind with a grayscale gradient overlaid on that. Then the whole lot was moved from CorelDraw over to PhotoPaint. Usually this would be one simple copy-and-paste over... but doing that meant the halftone filter would do color halftone...stupid. So the gradient layers had to be copied to grayscale images, halftoned in b/w, then copied again to the final color image, recombined with the fills and outlines.
Some other gripes about the stupid halftone filter and alignment problems, etc., but nevermind.
Anyhow, all this was done at a bigger size and then the whole thing was shrunk down so that the halftone spots weren't so big. Also causes a neat aliasing effect on the halftone parts, too. ^^
Um, yeah. Oh yes, the Caterham Super 7 is one sexy car!

Dig the super 7. the tires are bugging me tho. they need more shading. if youve ever looked at car walls, you know a well lit tire makes or breaks the entire thing
The background is a bit simple, but nice, the colors are fit to the car. The character is looking good, she fits to the backgorund well. Nice wallpaper.
Is that some Classic AC 97 Cobra? or is that some Caterham?
anyhow, both are hot, and this wall marks my favorite of the day, obvious reasons of course.
I love some of the little details on the vector of the car. The red only being on the car really accents the wall well. I even like the flag in the background which is odd for my normal taste in walls.
It seems blurry, and I wish the character was colored, but it's great.

the background is too simple to my taste, maybe some landscape outline, or something
also the flag is plain, some shades maybe
