While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Great job on the Wall :D Considering having not seen Basilisk, you for the most part hit the nail on the head. Without Spoilers, I'll say that the Anime centers around a Scroll, and the background fits that theme very well. Amazing likeness to the anime.

The background is looking good, the colors and patterns are nice. The character is looking good, she fits to the background well. The title is good, nice wallpaper.
Well done on incorporating the character and the background together. My two problems with it would be the misspelling of Basilisk which was already pointed out and the Egyptian heiroglyphics on the scroll in the background. It's a cool concept, but it doesn't really mix well with the anime nor the character.
