As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
Everytime I listen to Long dream, it reminds me of Shiki . Maybe that could be her theme song (?). Oh, and don't forget "Transformers". That song really reminds me of Beat. (the remix of the song also remids me of Linkin Park for some unknown reason).

Love the scan (although I haven't seen the anime), and I love that style of sparks and fire around a stock image (see me zelda wallpaper, which was based on another shakugan picture). I changed the focus of the stock to the necklace, and have the whole lighting of the piece focus around the necklace, and had the fire to only light a few pieces of the stock (although i made her eyes very fiery). Hopefully you guys like it ^_^.
Holy cow! I can't get enough of Shana walls. I love Shana, I love flames and I love darkness.
I must say, very good job with the scan. The best Shana wall I've seen in a while.

I'm not exactly a fan of lolis in torn up clothing, but wallpapers in the Shana section seriously lacked the one thing that made her so awesome: the overall fiery, flaring overtone, especially on her hair and the random fire spark things that float around. This wall remedied that somewhat; I was actually hoping that someone would go a bit crazy with fiery, flaring hair part a la what Microsoft did with transparency in Vista (if that analogy makes sense). But, nevertheless, the contrast and lighting you did is fantastic.

aside from that its just perfect, a candidate for the best shana wall out there
And there's also some visible extraction issue at the bottom, where the arms meet, and at the top right corner around her hair and around some of the flames, and also on bottom right around her hair. Doesn't feel like you actually did a lot though, I mean, the scan isn't even clean (all the noise and dirt of the original scan is still there). Looks more like a semi-crop and rough extraction job, with some layers of gaussian blur on blending modes to raise the contrast a bit, and a quick yellow airbrush passed around, combined with a blending mode.
Well... yeah. That's it. Atleast you could try fixing the extraction issues and cleaning the scan a bit. :\
I will have to agree with ShiNN this looks a bit messy, the image is much more clear on the scan.. i think you blurry this too much.. and the edges are not looking so well.. there is remaining stuff and jagged parts too...
This is so cool. I like how you made the flamy thing, and the lightning too. I agree with ShiNN that we need a textless version. =D
A part I didn't like is that the background is kinda... blue? It doesn't feel like it fits with the rest of the colors. And something that bugs me is the wound in her knee, it has a ray of light coming from it. o.o

I love Shana! And I finally find a wallpaper that has my resolution on it. I like the contrast between fire and darkness, gives it a nice fiery brightness to it. Good job, yesh!
If this was textless and 1280 x 1024, this would already of been on my desktop. But let's go aside from that. First off, you chose an excellant scan. Probably one of the best Shana scans I've ever seen. Second is what you did with it. oo wow. I love the glow you put on her pendant (I forgot what his name was @~-J@) and I also love more of the glow around the flames. Makes them much more..realistic. Very simple background too and I'm lovin' it for that. Anything else would of probably ruined in, IMO.
Overall, you've made an outstanding wallpaper here. Simply one that deserves a lot of attention and hopefully it'll get it (so far it has). Here's hoping that it will \o. Btw, this is a fav also =3.
