As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Inspired by Al Gore's The Inconvenience Truth, I set out to do a kinda "global warming'" theme but as you can see, somehow I can't put the destruction theme in this. The girl is just too cute and the fire and crashing walls just won't match the expression so I went with a simpler concept: flooding. I know the clouds are close to the water; I intended them to be. And yes, the grasses are tall. Also, I did my best on the water…I’m sorry if it looks weird.
Besides for the grasses and the stop sign, I made everything else from scratch. I found it hard to use stock photo with the art-style the scan is drawn in.

The story: One day, a cute girl woke up to find that her small town had been flooded; but still, she headed to school (admirable, I know).

Well, at least she is a brave trooper. It looks a little akward with the cloud being that close to the water, but it doesn't mean it's not detail. The clouds are done right, the detail on the water and stop sign are good as well. It's a good wall, and I'm giving this one a fav+

Everything in this wall fits together very nicely!
I love the idea behind it as well!
All the colours are so crisp and nice..
I think the text could be a little larger but it's no big deal. ^^

I prefer dark wallpapers but this is a very good one, I love that character, the blue color dominate most of the wallpaper, but it heightens the red parts, maybe the yellow sign is a bit out of place, and a less bright red, but it's a good work

Ooo...very clean :) Plus, kudos for making it all from scratch. I really like the water ripples, and you did an awesome job keeping the wall clean and very crisp. The clouds look a bit weird because they're a bit too smudged...but it isn't too bad.

Great wallpaper. You're right - the background fits perfectly with the character scan right now. I really like the way the background was done, a bit similar to the actual series style if I might say. The water's great, so are the clouds. But I would certainly work a bit more on the clouds though, since in some places they look unrealistic (maybe that's purposely?). Anyway, keep up the good work!
