This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
The title of the wall, "J'aime l'ete", is French for "I love the summer" [I think... and yes, I know there's accents on ete, but no, I dunno how to add them].
I know folks are gonna be like "SCAN-TO-VECTOR WALL ZOMG YOU LAZY ARSE" but frankly, I don't care 600+ shape layers is definitely not lazy, thank you very much.
Yuuko's a kicka$$ character; Vectorness is a group celebrating vectoring. So what better way to wall her for this contest than in pure vectory goodness?
Mmkay, time to go watch the video for "First Day Of My Life" /flees
I love how you took an image which might have been really dark and coloured it and the background to produce a light feeling. This wallpaper shows the brighter side of Yuuko's character :)
I also like how the grass blends into her kimono, so that it becomes part of it. thanks for providing the translation of the title - I fail at French ;)

Love the vector!
Looks absolutely wonderful. I wish you cropped it and made 4:3 version but oh well XD!
I would also prefer to have something more interesting for the background. The grass looks good but the circles need some work!
Anyway this paper is still awesome! Hope you make more vector wallpapers ^^!
Definitely a +Fav from me
Excellent reproduction, but wish you could've messed with it a little more so it's not exactly the same (which I suppose is a complement in itself). I think the colors will look more alive with some brighter orange, like if the color of the sky was adjusted to have more orange.
I just started watching xxxHolic because the second season is coming out~~ it is a good anime, i like it~~~ just like all Clmap anime, all the character designs are very similar lol~~~

Mr Knight in Shining Armor, could you help me? I'm looking for a thief. You see, he's stolen my heart, and I want it back.
