This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It all started when I was looking on Wikipedia one day at work and saw this image of Haku and that was it I had to wall it.
I vectored Haku in illustrator.
Painted the background in Photoshop.
Got the flowers and swirlies from Design Fruit, and painted them in Photoshop.
The Birds were also painted on in Photoshop!
All in all this ended up being around 22+ layers and the most complicated wallpaper I've ever worked on!!
I have to give a massive thanks to everyone who replied to my thread in Session Zero, without you this wallpaper would not be anywhere near as finished as it is now.
A super special thanks goes out to °asa01 who is a devil for being picky but also made me strive to make this wallpaper as perfect as I could get it (I ran out of time and wanted to upload it before I moved to London and I was without my tablet!!) and no doubt will still have things to say about this wallpaper. You are a truely great member *bows*
Lastly I hope all the Spirited Away fans enjoy using this wallpaper as much as I enjoyed making it ^_^
EDIT: Is anyone else having trouble downloading it? Ah-ha! Fixed it! :P
Nice, this will go well with the other spirited away widescreen that's on here (yeah I'm too lazy to find a link to it) and I have dual widescreen monitors :) Thanks
My My! It GREAT! I love it all specially the flowers and swirlies! I didn't believe its not a direct picture from inside the anime! you did great! Otsukare Sama Deshita! ^_^

And these wall looks very nice. You did an awesome job.
Haku looks very nice and always a lil bit mysterious.
The background is very cool. I love the birds flyining into the sunset.
Nice idea, could have been made into lots of different versions, mine would be different but each to their own, this is ok, could benefit from some text maybe or maybe something extra in the BG (edge of the city perhaps), but overall not a bad wall :)

The movie was defiantley one of the best Animation films I have ever watched up until now.
I really like all those little icons / textures you used for the blowing effect.
Keep it up. ^^
You know what it reminds me off? That Windows XP Ad (I think it was XP?) that had all these stuff swirling out XD
A great wallie, thank you! ^^
I really like the tones you used and the flowers were a nice touch!
Really well done!
I find the string of threads and flowers that Haku is blowing really magical.
