This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I am kind of spoilt for choice at the moment as there are a lot of wallpapers which I could choose from for the Highlighted spot.
So why this wallpaper? I think it's great to take a step back sometimes and savor the simple things in life (wallpapers included). Anyway, despite an extremely simple background, the character and \"banana split\" are just big enough to take up those empty spaces. Size-wise? Perfect.
The deal-breaker here would definitely be the circles at the top. A nifty touch that goes well with the vectored chibi Azmaria and ice-cream.
Found the screencap long ago around 4 chan and i just remembered i need to vector this since its too cute to miss lol... so there ya go everything is vectored including the bg and thanks to darkzlevin for ice cream idea \o/
and even the fact that the style and line art of the ice cream is very different from the chara, would make it look weird in another circumstance, here it looks veyr nice and relaxed being thought vs. reality (?) ... blah im babbling, i had too much to drink... great job!!

It is very hard to find anything wrong with this wall. very nice use of vector (which i think all walls should use...at least to clean it up and then photoshop for any other additional work)

I believe it would look better if you lighten up the big circle (or whatever you call it) in the middle and add more effect to the little circles.

What the hell is it about this wall? There's nothing overly artistic or complex about it and it almost looks like a child did the artwork.. But every time I see this wall I find that it makes me smile. I guess behold the power of cuteness.
Cute cute cute cute! This is like the best wallpaper I've seen in a while. Simple, but I like it very much! It's been sitting on my desktop for weeks now, and I will add it to my favourite, right after writing this. :D Good job, mate!
