I wanted to try something new .. not vectoring or simply using a scan , but playing with the scan to benefit my idea :P .. i was inspired after seeing this image in a Japanese site of a bathtub filled with water and i thought it would be cool if that was blood lol << sick!..
Then i looked for a character that i really want to kill and haruhi came in my mind :D , so here it is .. haruhi dead in a bathtub with the words "The Melancholy of Mikuru Asahina" writing on it with haruhi's blood!.. SHE DID IT !! , no more haruhi .. *HeHe*.. Mikuru Asahina = < 3 .. :P .
Most of the wall is vectored from the tub to the window .. only haruhi's face and leg and from scans , i changed the eyes and the mouth and the hair to give her a relaxing (dead) look , and the leg is taking from a Noizi Ito scan and the ribbon's color was changed to the same color of haruhi's ribbon ..

Besides your concept, it's not a bad looking wallpaper. The blackish grey, really blends well together. And the the use of dark colours really gives it an eerie atmospher. And the blood looks good.
Nice job on the wallpaper though. The look and feel reminds me of tsukihime in a way. You made use of dark colours in a great way and the background looks great with dark tree branches. Keep up the good work. I just hope I'll never have to see suzumiya in this state of condition again!
