After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
I finished this one right after my Yotsubato wall but I did´t want to submit it right away, I´m moving tomorrow morning so this will be the last one for a while.
Anyway, about the wall, Shinji is such a wimp... I hate him >( I think I hate all of the characters in the series, but I guess that´s one of the many wonders of NGE... hateable characters *sigh*
So since he is such a wimp, he is always thinking about what he "can´t" do. he has absolutely no self esteem, and even though he is always surrounded by friends and people he always feels lonely. so I decided to make that little square (which was inspired by the Mr. Brooks movie poster xD lol) and make as if we are pealing the mask and peering inside into the real thing, the deeper feelings not just the "I can´t do this" facade.
walling troubled characters is so fun =) the hardest part was cleaning the scan though >.< $#¡¿
anyway, yes I wanted this to be pretty empty, I erased all of the characters that were in the scan I wanted to leave Shinji all by himself, so enjoy the emptyness =)

LOL, commenting on an emo wallpaper is hard, especially on a character I hate in an anime. This wallpaper is a lot to emotional feeling on it, the empty staircase, the lonely sitting, I love it, but shinji kills it, I have conflicting views on this wall, so erm.. sadly, no fav from me. But I still keep it.

OK, enough of that. The wall is really interesting done. It gaves me a lonely feeling by looking at it and I think that's the main point of this wall. Shinji is like always a crybaby and that wall makes that really clear. It seems like he is ripped apart by his own doubts and the fact that he has no self esteem.
Wow, I just thought about one fact. I hate that series but I really like that wall because of the all things you can interprete in it. It's like a psychatrist is analysing a patient.
Great work on this one. It's really one of the walls that animates to think more about it as just looking on it.
Cool concept! Great work with cleaning and adding the text and shapes to the wall. I didn't like much the sentences "These voices in my head they keep saying", but it's just my opinion. Anyway, this is really neat NGE wall!
I love the backround and the shinji, they have a very nice texture to them~
At first I thought the eye thing was weirdXD
But when I saw that there was even cracked detail in the square coming off I liked it more^.^

This is one of the coolest NGE walls I've seen (and I hate Shinji XD.. or rather almost all teh characters in NGE - they are so hateable! But I do like the show ^_~)

Anyway, the concept behind this wall is really great. There's a lot of emotions being thrown around in the series, and I think you really managed to nail most of what Shinji goes through. I do think it's interesting that you chose red to show Shinji's "inner self". Emotions in art are frequently represented by a color, and red has several different translations. I wonder which one you were thinking of when you made the wall?
You did a great job erasing the other characters from the background, and the dirty, grungy texture really accentuates the feelings put forth with your work. I love the positioning of the text, it's as if all his thoughts are jumbled except for one, and that really shows a lot about the character. Great job!
