This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Yes, I know she has an absurd amount of hair. Apparently Houden Eizo really, really loves putting lots of hair on his characters, so don't ask me why XD
When I saw this image, at first I didn't really notice it. I mean, after all, it is really blurry, small, and kinda grainy. But the more I looked at it, the more curious I was. What was the girl thinking?
Because I was so drawn into her expression, I decided to vector the image. And wow, did I have fun >.< In addition to vectoring her, I had to brush in the various details that weren't in the original image. I don't think I captured the original emotion of the scan, but at any rate I decided to move on and finish this.
Textless version here. Major thanks to anime11 for pointing out that this was a Houden Eizo artwork. Full view highly recommended. Thanks for the comments and the favs ^^
Had this lying somewhere in my to-do folder... I guess I should cross that one out. Still I somehow prefer the styling in the original more (overly bright colours/softness).
The only thing for me left to comment on is the way the vector gives the impression that the hair is dyed in 2 colours, whereas the original seems to go from pink-ish to blue very smoothly. Not like that's a reason for not liking your wallpaper, I think you did a very good job. +fav
WOW i really like this wallpaper, actually i like every singel thing from the colour balance to the font. And the Scan is very cute, but the burn marks on her body really gives a mistic/scary feeling. + fav for your great work.
Wow! That's a really great improvement over the original scan. I mean... Gee! Who'd have the patience to add so many details to such a low res image? I take my hat off to you. Also, gradients on her hair?
Luckily, it's not widescreen so I can use it as it is on my desktop. ^^
Waaaaa thanks a beautifull wallie
the vector look good, and the gradient color make it beter. i also love the texture. all of it was cool
i dunno this wallpaper really makes me peace

i like the soft colours used, and i the vectoring's great. her eyes are especially attracting, and show loads of emotion. haha. i guess that's why you named it that :3 well done!
Really liking the vectorness for this one. The color on the hair seems darker, but it stands out more than the image you vectored. It's really actual and clean vector, so I'm giving you a fav+
