This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Ghost Hunt is high on my list of anime-that-need-more-love, so I just knew I had to wall it.
I really liked the scan from the fourth DVD cover, so what I did was completely recreate and recolor the scan with a few changes (got rid of the girl in the background, added the moon and the fog).
Hope you like it! Comments and favorites appreciated!
I like how you've pulled this off. I would like to see a more colorful version, though, just like the original scan. Those colors give a magical feel to the atmosphere.
I also like this anime and Masako and others.
Night comes, a ghost's appearance ratio is high, and it is a nice touch. It changed to the kimono of the quiet color and has adapted itself to the background. It' so nice work. and it is favorite.
Hmm...finally I see some wall of Ghost Hunt. Hmm, kinda nice. Looks perfect to me, coz the bg and the surround, even the ghost hand looks not artificial to me. THe fog's nice too. +favs too.
Nice wall, feeds my supernatural wants;)
I think you did well in the transition from the scan to the wall; taking out the colors might have changed the atmosphere but I personally like monocolored walls for their simplicity.
The only thing which looks a tiny bit odd is the brightness of the character; I think you might have made her a little darker to better fit in with the background.
Overall: great job, thanks for sharing!
i like the recolouring, and i agree with your decision to remove the girl in the bg. i like the scene and the atmosphere you created, and i like the moon in the bg...gives a definate feel of haunted-ess. great job!
You're so right, there really should be more Ghost Hunt walls, it was an awesome show, i love the mood portrayed in this wall, the darker coloring gives the setting a more dark and eerie tone. Very in tuned with the series, awesome work~
I like what you've done with this. Making it darker and bluer does wonders for additional creepiness. One element that was better in the original, I feel, was the placement of the one desk; in the scan, it is coming out of the desk, while here it comes out of thin air.
Your wallpaper is the best one i've seen so far from that past five days. its got exactly what its title tells it be. ^^
the way, wind is blowing, fog is present, the windows are open, completely defines the word "haunted". very unique work of yours!
keep it up. great wall.
