After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
I'm liking how it's looking so far, but it's kinda rough still I think, and I'm feeling a little stuck for ideas on what to do next. So any help/ideas would be very appreciated :)
The clouds are grainy and a bit too real maybe and L's face disappears completely. I wonder about the choice of charas cause uhm I forget her name, the FBI's agent wife seems to be the focus of the wall even though there are other charas. I'd think you might want larger pics of Light and MIsa? I don't know, just the overall positioning of the charas is a bit weird, but I don't have any good suggestions sorry~ I know for sure a different sky would probably work better. I didn't help much but good luck on it~
Wouldn't Kill ya to clean up the char. images from the scans, and L's face seems to be a big vague, can barely make it out, and why is Naomi the biggest image there? Shes barely a real character.
The wall is a little too bright. i would suggest saving in jpg and then duplicating image, blurring the duplicate, and changing the mode to make the wall look cleaner and better, stop at whatever mode is best for you :)

Face of L is little too bright...also the background is also too bright i think...what's more...oh and maybe you clean a little more the scan...or use on it some texture or pattern to make it more good looking...oh sorry for my poor English ^^"

i'm with the others regarding L and the graininess of the bg, is that from the texture you used? i also agree that they all seems a bit yellowish, could just be the blending mode you used?
I personally don't mind the position of the characters (my motto is to NEVER conform! :P) i haven't read enough of deathnote to know all the characters, but if she's one of your favorites, then I would have her in the front as well (plus she's pretty snazzy, love that jacket!).
i'm sure i could come up with some bg suggestions if you wanted, but this type seems to be your style (and i don't mind it). so i say make everything smoother (charas and bg) and add some of your super cool text ;)

Well i think reducing or removing the light filter you have used and decreasing the contrast and brightness a bit might help your wallpaper.
instead of directly tryingto modify the coours.. try what i just told you.
remove the lighting.
Play around with the contrast and brightness till you get a relatively nice result!!
I only have 2 words for this wallpaper, "RE" "COLOR"!
You can't see the guys face on the left and the guy on the right is really grainy and dark.
Work on that and come back to me.

i don't mind if you want to put naomi on top (i love that image of her ^^) but there is a little thing... naomi, light, and L(? i can't really tell with him) are standing but misa is crouching. that doesn't perfectly match, although i like that scan of her (never seen it before). :D aside from that, on the general for composition, how you placed the characters relative to each other is fine.
The characters need to be blended in better with the BG, I think you should look for brushes of clouds and do that your working with a stock arent you?
Nice work but like the others before me I have to say that it looks a bit to yellowish.

The background is nice but I think to dark on the right side and to bright on the left. You should use another blending mode or reduce the lightening effects.
Extraction of the scan is great and I like the position of the characters.
Like swordfish-II I think you should made your own background with some nice cloud brushes. The stock photo doesn't look so good.
All in one a nice work but it really need some work lately.

sorry for the late reply... cool concept for a death noted wallpaper because it has a bunch of characters featured on your wallpaper. i do have to agree with everyone else when they say that L's face has disappeared. th brightness in the background has covered his face. i also think the edges of the character scans need to blend with the background more. plus the blending between your characters and the background is kind of inconsistent. Kira and the background seems grainy and the girls seem clear and sharp. the character positions are great but play with it some more! great job jess!
An improvement. Unlike asa01 I don't really miss the colors - this gives it that... gloomy feeling that the sky seems to be expressing. I don't know why, but, the outline around L and Misa looks a bit too thick, at least to me. (And in contrast with Kira and Naomi.) I'd say it's about done, maybe a couple things could be tweaked. The sky can still look gloomy, but can you enhance the colors so it's not exactly... flat, if you know what I mean. It's very very good, keep it up. ^^
