This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
It's a good wallpaper; the background is "simple" but the color suits very well with the mecha. I agree that the resolution is a bit too low; anyway, it's the resolution of my 17" crt :p

I'm loving the lighting effects you've got going here. Very clean wall on the whole. The only thing wrong here is as mentioned above the lack of a higher resolution. 1024x768 and higher are very typical these days so I would go at least up to 1600x1200 next time. Thanks for sharing!

I like this wallpaper, but - not to offend - I think adding more background and then applying a unsharpening movement-filter on the background would improve the action and catch more the eye...
But it's nice anyway...
