This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I found the race of the Viera interesting in Final Fantasy XII so I wanted to recreate a bit of the melancholy and magic of their story. Also was going for a painted effect hence the intense textures. Extracting the scan was the easiest part then I blended several stock photos of leaves and tree branches, the more solid shapes I vectored and blended in. Who knows if anyone else even cares about the Viera, but I do like the soft colors I ended up with. So enjoy~

I don't know much about FF, but i can say that she looks alright in Viera Wood :)
Also textures i liked a lot.

I fancy this wall a lot, for its fantastic textures... everything is blended nicely, and even though the entire bg is green-ish, without any other colors, it looks just like it's supposed to be like that, creating somewhat eerie yet beautiful surrounding...
I just don't like the 'Final Fantasy' text - somehow I feel another font would look better, but other than that, very, very nice wallpaper! :)
It's a rather intricate wall isn't it? It's very very pretty.
I like the way the leaves layer over eachother. To me rather than paint it looks like it has little vainey bits through it which works for the whole leaf/nature thing.

Cool color theme i like the sketchy feel on the character and it fit quite well with the rest of the wall wich is intresting. Fabolous use of texture as always this is going to my fav :D.
Oo, the greenness of this wallpaper is simply marvelous, it really reminds me of the time spended in Viera Wood!Don`t you think that Viera race reminds Tolkien`s elves ? They are sentenced to vanish in the ever changing Ivalice, but they are still living by the Green Word, always among the trees... Your wallpaper really bring back memories from the times I played FF XII :). You can just feel the forest amosphere here, humid, half-light, sunrays vanishing in the courtain of leeves... Splendid work, I love it !
